Tausende von Menschen waren Opfer dieses Disasters, doch Union Carbide Corporation unternahm nur wenig, und der endlich irgendwann ausgezahlte Schadensersatz war nichtig im Vergleich zum Umsatz von UCC, aber auch im Vergleich zu dem Leiden der Bhopal-Bevölkerung. Ein weltweites Chemie-Grosskonzern Dow Chemical, dem seit 2001 UCC angehört, weigerte sich bis zu heutigem Tage etwas gegen die bleibende Quecksilber-Verseuchung in Bhopal zu unternehmen…

Während der Grossen Depression entstanden so viele Multimillionäre – wieso denn nicht jetzt wieder? Und er rief in einer beinahe apologetischen Rede alle auf, aus der Finanzkrise Geld zu machen. Wer nicht dabei ist – der sei selbst schuld, denn es sei die grösste und schönste Gelegenheit, so viel Geld machen zu können! Geld! Geld! Geld!
