RTL ist menschenverachtend.
Dies ist nicht nur meine persönliche Meinung, sondern sie wird von zahllosen Menschen in Deutschland geteilt, beispielsweise auch von dem Fernsehkritiker Oliver Kalkofe, der sich im Oktober 2012 entsprechend über mehrere Formate dieses Senders äußerte. Auch der bekannte Show-Moderator Michael Schanze gebrauchte das Wort „menschenverachtend“ in Bezug auf Castingshows von RTL.
Wenn ich auf Google als Suchbegriff eingebe „RTL Menschen“, so wird mir „RTL menschenverachtend“ sofort neben „RTL Menschen Bilder Emotionen 2012“ oder „RTL Menschen 2012“ angeboten.
Bei der Suche nach „RTL menschenverachtend“ werden mir 359.000 Treffer angezeigt. Dies ist durchaus stattlich aber hat seinen Grund.
Viele Sendungen von RTL und RTL2 basieren auf einem einfachen und leider sehr erfolgreichen Konzept, nämlich der Bloßstellung von Menschen die nicht der Norm entsprechen, weil sie übergewichtig, arm, ungebildet oder schlicht ungewöhnlich sind.
Die Bloßstellung von Menschen als Senderkonzept durchzieht weite Teile ihres Programmes.
Nehmen wir nur einmal die Shows „Das Supertalent“ und „Deutschland sucht den Superstar“. Deren Erfolg beruht schließlich nicht nur auf der medialen Aufmerksamkeit für die dort gefundenen „Talente“ und „Stars“, sondern eben auch darauf, dass dort zahlreiche schräge und untalentierte Personen auftauchen, die dann von Bohlen und Co nach Strich und Faden vor einem Millionenpublikum vorgeführt werden.
Selbst wer bei solchen Shows gewinnt, ist bei solchen RTL-Shows an Verträge gebunden, die schon oft als Knebelverträge in die öffentliche Kritik geraten sind.
Und dass die dort gefundenen „Stars“ ohnehin von ihrem eingespielten Geld recht wenig sehen und auch bald wieder sang- und klanglos in der Versenkung verschwinden ist hinlänglich bekannt.
Tatsächlich scheint es mir, als ob RTL bei seinen Castings genau 2 Arten von Personen suchen würde:
Untalentierte Personen, die man zur Belustigung der Massen lächerlich machen kann.
Talentierte junge Menschen, deren Träume man ausbeuten kann.
Noch menschenverachtender als in diesen Castingshows geht es allerdings in Formaten wir „Bauer sucht Frau“, „Frauentausch“ und „Die Supernanny“ zu.
Gerade bei Frauentausch baut sich die Dramaturgie der Sendung oft darauf auf, dass eine angepasst-bürgerliche Familie in Vergleich zu einer vermeintlich asozialen, unhygienischen und ungebildeten Familie gesetzt wird. Am Ende soll die „asoziale“ Familie dann entweder als geläutert aus der Show hervorgehen oder aber als unverbesserlicher Fall abgestempelt werden.
Angehörige der negativ dargestellten Familie werden zum Teil durch tricktechnische Einspielungen, Hintergrundmusik und Zeitlupen zusätzlich lächerlich gemacht.
Bei einer Frau, die in der Sendung als dumm dargestellt werden sollte, ließ man zum Beispiel die Jeopardy-Musik laufen, während sie sich Antworten auf gestellte Fragen überlegte, um darzustellen, wie lange die Dame zum Antworten braucht.
Auch emotionale Ausbrüche der Menschen werden gnadenlos der Lächerlichkeit preisgegeben. Dies traf beispielsweise einen Mann namens Andreas, der unter dem psychischen Druck der Sendung und einem regelrechten Verhör durch die Tauschmutter, einen Ausraster bekam und nun wohl für alle Zeiten als „Psychopath Andi“ durch das Netz geistert.
Eine übergewichtige Dame, die in einer anderen Folge die Nerven verlor, wurde genussvoll abgefilmt und gesendet, obwohl sie zu diesem Zeitpunkt bereits ihre Teilnahme an der Show abbrechen wollte.
Von „Fette Frau heult“ gibt es inzwischen unzählige Remixes, Endlosschleifen u.s.w. auf Youtube.
Gnadenlos draufhalten ist die Strategie von RTL, wann immer es Tränen zu zeigen gibt. Schließlich wollen die Zuschauer ja „echte Emotion“.
Der Grimme-Online-Preisträger Holger Kreymeier, der die Seite Fernsehkritik-TV betreibt, hat sich mit einigen Fällen von Opfern solcher TV-Shows befasst.
Hierbei äußerten diese schwerste Vorwürfe gegen den Sender.
Bei einer Familie, die bei Frauentausch teilgenommen hat, soll das Kamerateam beispielsweise die Wohnung durch absichtliche Manipulationen in einen unordentlichen Zustand versetzt haben, um dann den vermeintlich heruntergekommen „Saustall“ zu filmen. Nach Auskunft des Betroffenen soll die Tauschmutter Anweisungen erhalten haben, diesen möglichst angewidert zu kommentieren.
Der Familienvater erlitt unter der Belastung einen leichten Herzinfarkt. Trotzdem soll unter massiven Drohungen mit Konventionalstrafen versucht worden sein, ihn zur weiteren Teilnahme am Dreh zu zwingen.
Die Familie erhielt nach Ausstrahlung der Sendung beleidigende Briefe und Anrufe. Es sollen sogar Leute aufgrund der Sendung nachts vor ihrem Haus herumgegrölt haben.
In einem anderen Fall interviewte Kreymeier eine Frau und ihre Tochter, die bei der „Supernanny“ teilgenommen hatten. Abgesehen davon dass die Supernanny im Gegensatz zu dem was die Show vermittelt, nichts zur Lösung der familiären Probleme beigetragen hat, soll das dazugehörige Fernsehteam sich geradezu unsäglich benommen haben. Zumindest berichteten es so die Betroffenen.
Angeblich habe das Team die Tochter dazu angestachelt ihren Bruder so sehr zu ärgern, dass dieser vor laufender Kamera seine Schwester schlug.
Die Betroffenen erhoben zudem einen Vorwurf, der fast zu unglaublich scheint um wahr zu sein, obwohl ich RTL inzwischen fast alles zutraue. Angeblich soll nämlich ein Mitarbeiter des Filmteams von Katharina Saalfrank erwähnt haben, dass es der Dramatik der Sendung förderlich wäre, wenn dem Hund der Familie etwas zustoße.
Nach Aussage der Familie soll der bis dahin kerngesunde Hund plötzlich erkrankt und vom Filmteam ohne dies mit der Familie abzusprechen in eine Tierklinik gebracht worden sein, von der er nicht mehr zurückkehrte.
Katharina Saalfrank bestreitet Vorwürfe, ihr Team habe den Hund getötet, vehement und hat Klage gegen Holger Kreymeier eingereicht. Zur öffentlichen Verhandlung soll es am 16.01.2013 vor dem Landgericht Köln kommen.
RTL ließ Kreymeier außerdem gerichtlich verbieten, T-Shirts zu vertreiben, auf denen Logo und Werbeslogan „Mein RTL“ zu „Scheiß RTL“ verfremdet waren.
Allerdings lässt sich der Geist (aus meiner Sicht glücklicherweise) nicht so einfach wieder in die Flasche zurückholen. Das „Scheiß RTL“-Logo kursiert massenhaft im Netz und niemand wird einen Internetnutzer daran hindern können, sich dieses Logo für den Eigengebrauch auf ein T-Shirt drucken zu lassen.
Die Facebook-Fangruppe zu „Scheiß RTL“ jedenfalls hat schon 880 Mitglieder.
Ich denke, dass es richtig und notwendig ist, auf die Praktiken von RTL aufmerksam zu machen und sie öffentlich zu kritisieren.
Denn die öffentliche Meinung fürchtet RTL, wie sich im Fall eines RTL-Berichtes zur Gamescom-Computerspielmesse 2011 zeigte.
Damals hatte der Sender in einem Beitrag des Magazins „Explosiv“ von der Messe berichtet und die dort herumlaufenden Gamer als Nerds und Weirdos dargestellt, die weder Job noch Freundin haben und dazu auch noch unhygienisch sind.
Hier allerdings hatte sich RTL mit den Falschen angelegt. Die Nachricht verbreitete sich wie ein Lauffeuer im Netz, tausende Computerspieler aus ganz Deutschland entfachten einen ordentlichen Shitstorm und Hacker legten kurzzeitig die Webpräsenz lahm.
RTL entschuldigte sich umgehend.
Ich würde mir wünschen, dass RTL künftig einen ähnlichen Shitstorm erlebt, wenn dort mal wieder Hartz-IV-Empfänger als ungebildete und nutzlose arbeitsscheue Gesellen verunglimpft werden. Aber leider scheint dies zu sehr der herrschenden gesellschaftlichen Meinung zu entsprechen.
