Während sich die Frankfurter Stadtverordnetenversammlung am 14. April 2016 feierlich konstituiert, sehen wir weiterhin keinen Grund zum Feiern. Der eklatante Mangel an günstigem Wohnraum, die politisch gewollte Luxussanierung der Stadt, die – auch bei der ABG – steigenden Mietpreise, die Verdrängung von Menschen mit kleinem und mittlerem Einkommen, die soziale und rassistische Spaltung; all dies sehen wir mit Besorgnis. Für uns ist also klar: Nach der Wahl ist vor der Wahl – Wir bleiben dran, für eine Stadt für alle!

Menschen mit kleinem und mittlerem Einkommen werden verdrängt – Geflüchtete leben in Turnhallen, Containern, Fabrikhallen oder unter der Brücke: Das sind zwei Seiten einer Medaille und Folge einer jahrelangen Stadtentwicklungspolitik, die den Wohnungsbau profitorientierten Investoren überlässt. Um den wenigen noch erschwinglichen Wohnraum sollen sich die „Abgehängten“ streiten und in der Folge werden von AfD, NPD und Co. die Armen gegen die Ärmsten ausgespielt. Dieser rassistischen Spaltung stellen wir uns entgegen: „Welcome“-Initiativen unterstützen, Rassismus bekämpfen und insb. Project Shelter als sozio-kulturelles Zentrum gemeinsam erstreiten.
In der Cordierstraße im Gallus sind Geflüchtete statt in Massenunterkünften in leerstehenden ABG-Wohnungen untergekommen. Doch nach dem Willen der Stadt und ABG stehen Abriss und Neubau bevor. Die Unterbringung von Geflüchteten in Wohnungen darf keine Zwischenlösung bleiben! Wir nehmen nicht hin, dass bezahlbarer Wohnraum zerstört wird, um Platz für teuren Neubau zu schaffen.

Jahrelang hat die Stadt Frankfurt dem Auslaufen der Sozialbindungen für Sozialwohnungen nur zugeschaut, nun kündigt der Planungsdezernent Cunitz an, dass die Zahl der geförderten Wohnungen wieder steigen soll und feiert die Verlängerung der Sozialbindung. Doch offenbar gilt dies nicht für zentrumsnahe Siedlungen: Dort wird die Politik der Verdrängung fortgesetzt.
In den Housing Areas in Ginnheim haben die Haushalte ganzer Wohnblöcke einen Brief erhalten, in dem das Ende der Sozialbindung und entsprechende Mietsteigerungen angekündigt werden. In hunderten Wohnungen drohen Mietsteigerungen um 30% und damit die massenhafte Vertreibung von Mieterinnen und Mietern. Um Verdrängung und Wohnungsknappheit entgegenzuwirken sind Sozialwohnungen konsequent zu erhalten. Die ABG muss sich auf den sozialen Wohnungsbau (1. Förderweg) konzentrieren, und die Stadt Wohnbaugenossenschaften und Mietshaussyndikate unterstützen und fördern.

Unbefristeter und bedingungsloser Mietenstopp in allen ABG-Wohnungen jetzt: die Mieten bei den freifinanzierten ABG-Wohnungen haben eine Höhe erreicht, die für einen Großteil der Frankfurter Haushalte nicht mehr tragbar ist. Bei der städtischen Wohnungsbaugesellschaft ABG haben es Magistrat und Stadtverordnete selbst in der Hand, die notwendigen Vorgaben für die Geschäftspolitik zu beschließen!
Die ABG ist mit ihren über 50.000 Wohnungen, die im Besitz der Stadt liegen, ein wichtiger Faktor auf dem Frankfurter Wohnungsmarkt. Ein sofortiger Verzicht auf weitere Mieterhöhungen dämpft nicht nur den Mietspiegel, sondern wäre ein ermutigendes Signal für alle Mieterinnen und Mieter, die sich gegen Mietsteigerungen wehren. Schluss mit Luxussanierungen in unseren Vierteln und dem Stadtumbau für Reiche – wir bleiben alle!

Auf dem Campus Bockenheim besteht die Chance, eine neue Wohnungspolitik zu realisieren. Hier können bis zu 2.500 Wohnungen auf städtischem Grund entstehen: Bis auf die Flächen für den geplanten Neubau der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst (HfMD), weitere Kulturinstitutionen und öffentliche Einrichtungen für Kinder und Jugendliche sollen alle noch vorhandenen Grundstücke ausschließlich dem Bau von Wohnungen vorbehalten sein, die der Kapitalverwertung dauerhaft entzogen sind (durch Wohnungsbaugenossenschaften u.a.).
Für die Realisierung des Konzepts „Offenes Haus der Kulturen“, der Erhaltung und Weiterentwicklung des Studierendenhauses als kulturelles und politisches Zentrum auf dem Campus, müssen öffentliche Mittel bereitgestellt werden. Für eine nicht-profitorientierte Entwicklung des Kulturcampus auf der Grundlage eines tatsächlich demokratischen und partizipativen Planungsprozesses.
