Die politischen, sozialen und kulturellen Dimensionen dieser Zentren werden hingegen völlig ausgeblendet, um die (staatliche) Kriminalisierung legitim und notwendig erscheinen zu lassen. Die Menschen in selbstorganisierten und – verwalteten Räumen ermöglichen durch ihr freiwilliges und unbezahltes Engagement beispielsweise solidarisch es Wohnen und Leben, Küche für Alle, Theater, Ausstellungen, Konzerte, Lesungen, die Gegenbuchmasse, Diskussionsrunden, Umsonstläden, Sportangebote, Werkstätten, Sprachkurse und Arbeit mit Geflüchteten. Das alles findet in der durchkommerzialisierten Stadtgesellschaft kaum Platz. Aufgrund dieser langjährigen Arbeit sind unsere Projekte mit großer Akzeptanz und ausgesprochen positiver Wirkung lokal gut verankert.
Natürlich sind diese Angebote und Möglichkeiten Teil einer Auseinandersetzung mit den gegenwärtigen gesellschaftlichen Verhältnissen, die in der Hetze gegen Geflüchtete, Prekarisierung der Arbeitsverhältnisse, Armut, Verdrängung und Gentrifizierung der Stadt deutlich zu sehen sind.
Hier wird nicht den Forderungen nach Wirtschaftlichkeit entsprochen und es findet Kultur und soziales Miteinander jenseits von Verwertung und Portemonnaie statt. Wir schaffen auch Raum für Organisierung und Vernetzung, für linke politische Auseinandersetzungen mit den gesellschaftlichen Zuständen und für das Leben von emanzipatorischen Gegenentwürfen.
Das ist nicht angepasst und stromlinienförmig, sondern eröffnet Perspektiven, die ein Einspruch wider den politischen Mainstream sind.
Diese Kampagne gegen unsere Projekte und Häuser findet in Zeiten eines Rechtsrucks statt und ist auch als Angriff gegen die antikapitalistische und emanzipatorische Praxis, für die sie stehen, gedacht.
