Von der Brache geräumte Roma sind wieder obdachlos
Seit Anfang der Woche sind fast alle Roma, die am 28.5.2018 von der Brache auf dem Ferro-Gelände geräumt wurden, wieder obdachlos. Die vorübergehende Herberge in der Notunterkunft Ostpark sollte bereits früher, unter Androhung von Polizeigewalt verlassen, werden. Auf Druck der Betroffenen wurde nochmals ein Aufschub gewährt. Lediglich sechs Personen, die Arbeit haben, können weiterhin die Notunterkunft nutzen.
Seit 12. Juni leben die arbeitslosen Roma wieder auf der Straße. Selbst im Ostpark dürfen sie nicht übernachten, da sie sonst mit Strafanzeigen und Bußgeldern in Höhe von 150 € rechnen müssen. Unter den etwa zwanzig Personen sind eine schwangere Frau und ein 17jähriger Junge. Der Förderverein Roma unterstützt und begleitet die Menschen weiterhin.
Die Vorgänge stellen wiederholt unter Beweis, dass die Unterlassung von adäquater Hilfe zur – offensichtlich gebilligten – Verschärfung der Situation führt. Es ist lediglich eine Frage der Zeit, bis eine neue Brache, ein neuer Platz oder ein leerstehendes Haus genutzt werden. Die städtische Politik der Hilfeverweigerung, der Vertreibung und Zerstörung von eigenständigen, das Überleben sichernde Strukturen, offenbart sich mehr denn je als ebenso menschenverachtend wie inakzeptabel.
Seit Jahren weist der Förderverein Roma auf das Projekt „Ein Haus für Roma“ und positive Erfahrungen, die beispielweise in Berlin gemacht wurden, hin. Er warnt angesichts verstärkter Ausgrenzung und Diskriminierung vor der Gefahr, der insbesondere obdachlose Roma ausgesetzt sind und fordert erneut eine Sozialpolitik, die den Menschen Wohnraum, Versorgung und Perspektive bietet.
